Nantucket wildlife
I regularly visit Nantucket and the surrounding smaller islands to participate in bird banding and shorebird conservation monitoring programs

An impressive sight! This poor sunfish was found washed up ashore
This recently fledged oystercatcher was dragged into the middle of a pond by a gull, about to be eaten. Amazingly, the parents dive-bombed the gull and their chick made it back to shore
